Literacy
Adult Literacy
Adult Literacy volunteers tutor in libraries, drug rehabilitation facilities and GED programs to help adults, many foreign born, improve their reading, English citizenship and learning skills.
America Reads
America Reads, is a 1:1, intergenerational, paired reading program, that helps students who are not reading at grade level. The volunteer tutors help increase word fluency and reading comprehension to help make reading fun and enjoyable.

Family Literacy
Family Literacy Program helps parents and their preschool children enrolled in Head Start develop the reading skills they need to succeed. Classroom readers help children learn to love books and to embrace reading at home.
Youth
Pen Pals
Pen Pals, an intergenerational program that allows volunteers the luxury of volunteering from home. Under a supervised program, volunteers write to and receive letters twice a month, from students in the fourth grade at a selected elementary school. Pen Pals meet at a classroom party at the end of the school year hosted by RSVP.
Environmental Team
Environmental Team volunteers are recruited and trained to present environmental topics to children in grades 1 - 12 at schools and summer camps. Click on the icon at right to read the Environmental Newsletter.

Adults
Friendly Calling
Friendly Calling volunteers make regular calls to elderly persons who live alone. These calls serve as a safety check and help alleviate loneliness and depression, while keeping folks connected to the community.
VOAD
VOAD stands for "Volunteers Organized Against Disaster." Volunteers are trained by the American Red Cross to help if/when disaster strikes. They are trained in life saving skills and visit senior centers and senior retirement facilities to present information on what to do if a natural or man-made disaster should occur.
Environmental
Environmental volunteers who are trained on environmental issues present information to senior groups, PTA’s, teachers, and service organizations.
Meal Preparation & Delivery
Meal Preparation & Delivery volunteers serve meals on to homebound seniors in partnership with meals-on-wheels at local senior centers.
Thresholds
Thresholds is a program that trains volunteers to work with those who are incarcerated in the Delaware County Prison System. The program teaches good decision-making skills to help prisoners make better choices when released from jail.
The Community at Large
RSVP Legends Band
RSVP Legends Band is made up of a fabulous group of men and women who enjoy performing and sharing their musical talent throughout the community. They rehearse twice a month and typically entertain at 3 - 5 performances monthly.

RSVP Clowns
RSVP Clowns are trained volunteers who spread cheer at hospitals, nursing homes, schools and community and charitable events with magic, face-painting and balloon sculptures.

Guys 'N Gals
Guys 'N Gals are talented volunteers who enjoy singing and performing at nursing homes and community events.
